Parichay Theatre was established in 1998 under the BOMBAY PUBLIC TRUSTS ACT, 1950, nearly 27 years ago, under the guidance of founder Mr. Shakeel Sayani. Parichay group members are working in various movies, TV shows,plays and are now at respectable positions. Parichay Theatre believes in working out on the weakness of each and every individual associated with it so that their weaknesses can be converted into their strengths.

Shakeel Sayani was born on 3rd March, 1972 and was brought up in beautiful city, Kolkata. He did his schooling from Kolkata Aalia High School and did his Batchelor of Arts from Yashwant Chauhan University, Nasik
He is the founder member of Parichay Theatre Associations.He has acted and directed 200 hindi plays and a Recepient of National Natya Bhussan award, he has bagged Best Actor, Best Director, Best Play in the OLYMPAID Theatre International Festival 2010. His plays has also won the Best Play award in Maharastra Urdu Academy open competition from last five years.
For seven years, he was associated with Kolkata Theatre group and did several street plays and commercial theatres for them. For his livelihood, he used to do compering, mimicry, dancing in orchestra and ghazal shows.
He always had strong inclination towards the art of direction and acting due to which he took the brave decision of shifting to dream city, Mumbai. In 1998, did his 2 years degree course in camera acting and and film direction from Star India Film Academy ( SIFA ).
He was associated with, theatre veteren Satyadev Dubey for 2 years and attended his theatre workshops in this timeframe.
He has acted in numerous films like BAAZ, EXCUSE ME, AB TUMHARE HAWALE WATAN SATHIYON, LATIF, CHINNAR, ELLA, ZEHER.
In TV serials he has acted in SHAKA LAKA BOOM BOOM, CID, AAHAT, PRATIGYA, KUSUM, LOVE KA HAI INTEZAR etc.
He has also appeared In ad films, like BABOOL TOOTHPASTE, CADBURRY CHOCLATE, WAGONAR, WARTSILA POWER, THUMSUP, etc.
He has acted and directed 200 hindi plays. To name a few, COURT MARTIAL, EK AUR DRONACHARYA, DESH BHAISKRIT, TAX FREE, FREE STYLE GAWAHI, MIDDLE CLASS, LAUGHTER CLUB, FIRST APRIL, HOLI, AADHI RAAT KE BAAD, REECH, BOOR, BEEMAR, HATAK, MACHIS KI DIBIYA, NATAK KA CHAKKAR, DAROGAJI, CHANDI KA CHAMCHA, DODH KA GILASS, THE BOOR (ENGLISH PLAY), BADE BHAI SHAB, PARICHAY, GULI DANDA (solo performance) etc.
He is considered to be master Actor and Director of stage plays like English play "The Boor". With his extraordinary comedy skills he is well known in the theatre circuit of Mumbai and is big favorite of the audience. His solo and group performances have always been cherished wherever he has taken his acts. With the firm belief of establishing theatre art world wide he performs consistently in different parts of India along with his talented group.
He has conducted workshop for the movie "Desi Katthe" and himself acted in this film.
